What a Catch!

"Fame-whoring" is a word that has made it into the North American vocabulary. Essentially, it means someone who will do anything to remain in the spotlight. Levi Johnston is the epitome of a fame whore.

People may know him from a few different things: being the baby-daddy to Sarah Palin's grandson, posing nude in Playgirl, or more recently, as the newest sleaze to get his own reality show. Apparently, the premise of this show (which is sure to be a gem) is to follow Johnston as he runs for the mayor of a town called Wasilla. Oh, I pity that town. According to Johnston, one does not need any credentials, such as a high school diploma, to become the Mayor. Hold the phone. This little piece of work thinks that practically no education will be enough to help him lead a town. Who would vote for this guy? He is moderately attractive, but as soon as he speaks you want to punch him in the mouth. He has listed his interests as "elk hunting, bear hunting, and caribou hunting." How truly Republican of him. Johnston must have some appeal to him, otherwise why would he be all over the tabloids? I certainly don't know what it is and if you watch the link attacked, I'm sure you won't be able to figure it out either.

GO COLTS!

It's late August... and you know what that means, baby... FOOTBALL SEASON!

The NFL preseason has already begun with the Colts losing 3 out of their 3 exhibition games. Why am I not worried? This happens every preseason. And then they go rock it during the regular season.

Before talking about the new season, let's recap Peyton's last season and his amazing career. He has won numerous awards, including the MVP a record-breaking 4 times, and has set the precedent for many up-and-coming Quarterbacks. At this point, these facts may be overshadowed by the fact that the Colts lost the Superbowl last year. I am not going to lie, as a super fan for around 10 years, I was devastated. It was extremely difficult, and not only because I lost 140 dollars. I guess it just wasn't their year.

Anyways, this year, Peyton and his team are facing a fairly easy schedule - the only challenges seem to be emotional. In the second week, Eli and Peyton will face each other - the second time that starting Quarterback brothers have started opposite each other. The first time was in 2004, and it was dubbed "Manning Bowl." Peyton won (obviously), and I think that will be the case this time too, as Eli was good for a while (enough to win a Superbowl) but now he kind of sucks.

Ok, this is all I can really say at the moment about football. I need better ideas for my blog, SERIOUSLY.
